The Encore Autumn Sangria Azalea is a reblooming evergreen shrub that offers months of beauty instead of just weeks. Upon blooming, the first thing you'll notice are the large, deep pink flowers - some of the largest among azaleas. These evergreen shrubs make an excellent foundational plant and grow well in mass plantings, with a fast growth rate allowing them to span widths of 4' W x 4.5' H.

The Encore Autumn Sangria Azalea can serve as a striking focal point around the yard and garden, accentuating entries with its dense growth habit. Throughout spring, summer, and fall, the beautiful deep pink blooms will attract a variety of visitors, such as butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees.

Requiring minimal pruning to retain its form, the Autumn Sangria does not need deadheading. Light pruning immediately after the spring flowering may facilitate growth and flowering in future seasons, but fall pruning should be avoided as it can remove buds set for the next blooming period.

Hardy in USDA zones 6-10, the Autumn Sangria is quite tolerant, thriving in full sun but preferring partial shade for optimal blooms. In its early years, it should be watered regularly, especially during dry periods. Like all azaleas, it grows best in acidic soil with a maximum pH of 6.5, ideally around 5.5.

Shipped as a 2-gallon potted plant with soil from the Alabama Gulf Coast, this azalea is unable to be sent to Hawaii and Alaska. Blooms at the time of arrival are not guaranteed.
